Do I need to be a performer to attend events?
→ No, you don’t have to be a performer to attend our events. We welcome all women, non-binary and trans individuals in the music industry, including songwriters, producers, managers, and industry professionals.

How can Amplify Her help advance my music career?
→ Amplify Her offers a range of career-boosting opportunities, including industry networking, one-on-one mentoring, performance opportunities, and access to a supportive community of like-minded individuals.

Can I collaborate with other members of Amplify Her?
→ Absolutely! Many of our members collaborate on music projects, share opportunities, and support each other’s careers. Our events and WhatsApp group provide excellent opportunities for collaboration.

How often do you host events?
→ We host regular events throughout the year, including open mics, networking sessions, songwriting camps, and workshops. Visit our website or follow us on social media for the latest updates.

How old do I need to be to attend Amplify Her events?
→ You must be at least 18 years old to join our cocktail meetings and live music events. Other events may not have age restrictions.

Do I need to be at a certain level in the music industry to join your events?
→ Amplify Her welcomes people at all levels of the music industry, from beginners to professionals. Whether you're just starting out or already established, you're welcome to join.

Are men allowed at Amplify Her events?
→ Yes, men are welcome to attend our live music events to support and champion women, non-binary, and trans people in the music industry.

Can male musicians perform at Amplify Her events?
→ Our live music events feature women, non-binary, and trans artists as the main performers. Male musicians can participate in supporting roles.

What is the difference between being a member and part of the community?

What is a coffee meeting?
→ Coffee meetings are intimate gatherings reserved for women, non-binary, and trans individuals in the music industry. These meetings offer a safe space to discuss career challenges, share experiences, and focus on monthly topics relevant to the music industry.

Are Amplify Her events inclusive of all music genres?
→ Yes, Amplify Her welcomes all music genres. Our community is diverse, and we encourage musicians from all backgrounds and styles to participate in our events.

What equipment is provided at Amplify Her Open Mics?
→ We provide a PA system, stands, and mics. Performers need to bring their own instruments or backing tracks. Please note that there is no house keyboard available.

How many songs can I perform at an Amplify Her Open Mic?
→ Each performer can share two original songs of any genre, or you may opt for a 7-minute performance of spoken word, poetry, or a musical composition.

Can someone film my performance at Amplify Her events?
→ Yes, you can request an Amplify Her team member to record your performance during the event.

Can I attend Amplify Her events alone?
→ Yes, you're more than welcome to attend on your own. Many attendees come solo, and our team will help introduce you to others in the music industry.

What is a cocktail meeting?
→ Cocktail meetings are relaxed evening networking events reserved for women, non-binary, and trans individuals in the music industry. It's a fun environment to make meaningful connections with like-minded people.

  How can I secure a slot for the open mic?
→ Open mic slots are anounced on our social media, and members get priority. We keep one extra slot open for a lucky performer whose name is drawn from our "lucky box" at the end of the event. Follow us on Instagram for updates: https://www.instagram.com/amplify_herLive/.

How can I join the Amplify Her WhatsApp group?
→ To join the WhatsApp group, you must attend one of our networking events. This is where we can meet you in person and invite you into the group. So we ensure that everyone is part of the community for the right reasons. 

It's my first time attending. Who should I talk to when I arrive?
→ Upon arrival, an Amplify Her team member will welcome you and introduce you to others in the industry. Our events are created to foster a supportive and warm community.

Is there a fee to attend events?
→ Some events are free to attend, while others may have a fee. Members often get discounted or free access to paid events. You can find details about fees for specific events on our website.
