Meet the event organiser: Andrea Dee

Andrea Released her electro-pop album Truth & Dare in 2021 and then created a live immersive concert launching to a sellout crowd at the London Hippodrome. Andrea now finds herself leading the charge for change in the music industry by turning up the female voice and providing the space for them to be themselves. She is building a community of like-minded people, female artists, and songwriters who are in the music business.

With the electricity of Grace Jones, a hypnotic voice like that of songstress Amy Lee (Evanescence), and the intricate and clever songwriting style of Christine and the Queen.

Meet the artists Lisa Murray

Lisa Murray is a London-based pop artist and music producer from Ireland. Her self-produced pop music is packed to the brim with relatable lyrics, hooky melodies, unique synth sounds, ear candy, and luscious vocal stacks. Her music covers themes ranging from heartbreak and self-reflection, to her experience of modern womanhood. Commonly referred to as “Irish Taylor Swift”, Lisa has been making waves in the Irish music scene since her single ‘i unfollowed u’ reached over 3 million impacts on Irish radio, and landed her spots in the top 200 Irish Shazam Chart and the top 10 Irish Radio Breakers Chart. Lisa has graced stages in Dublin, London, New York, and Valencia over the past two years and is excited to take part in the Amplify Her showcase on May 29th!

Growing up in West Yorkshire and now based in South East London, while forever wishing she could live under the sea, Sirene tells scintillating tales about feeling like a “fish out of water”. Sirene is the indie folk artist project from singer-songwriter Clare Kelly, who writes honestly about her lived experience as a woman in the world today. Following her BBC 6Music acclaimed debut 2022 EP Communication Conversation, Sirene continues to tackle uncomfortable conversations in a unique way with her new EP Turn The TV Up.

The title track of Sirene’s EP is about hitting rock bottom without being able to pinpoint the cause. Sirene says that “these songs fell out of me quite suddenly while hunched over a piano so the EP is raw and honest.” Previous support includes and is not limited to Deb Grant & Tom Robinson on BBC 6Music and BBC Introducing. Sirene’s singles have been featured on curated playlists such as Apple Music’s New In Alternative.

Born and brought up in Kolkata, India, Aruna was taught to embrace her creative spirit at a young age and started to perform for audiences as a child. This journey has now brought her to perform alongside the likes of X-Factor U.K. finalist Kevin Davy White, whom she recently shared the stage with to open for acclaimed composer and pianist Jools Holland. With Aruna’s own music being featured in renowned publications such as Rolling Stone India, Wonderland, Earmilk, and The Telegraph Two, the singer has been taking on the music industry by storm. Her anthemic pop-rock tunes are influenced by a range of artists including Taylor Swift , Maisie Peters, Olivia Rodrigo, and Avril Lavigne. Passionate about championing the cause of diversity with her music, Aruna intends to form a space for those who do not feel represented in the industry. Her aim is to demonstrate that anything is possible by pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a woman of colour in the Pop music industry.
